Erotics and motherhood! Sounds like a show that will sit in the shards of your memory for a long time to come.

59E59
November 5th-11th 2025
A play! A fucking play, from the mind of the talented Alex Lin, about gentrification and Lear and featuring the brilliant Wai Ching Ho in a work I think will speak to those who've seen their neighborhoods be eaten alive by developers, by people who don't understand it. Go see a play, you freaks.
Staffer: Reuven Glezer
Arden of Faversham : Luke Wisniewski, Henry Alper, Avery Fischbach, Kevin Gill, Jason Hoover, Din Klein, Sophie Rossman, Nick Snipes
IRT
November 14th-16th 2025
Anonymously written in 1592, this Elizabethan equivalent of a true-crime thriller has been a gory favorite of those looking to works other than Shakespeare's (Marlowe's been cited as a potential writer? mystery! fun!) of the era - and this time, it returns to IRT with jazz? Noir? Sign me up.
Staffer: Reuven Glezer
Critical Club Theory : Kyle b. co., Buffy Sierra, Isaac Silber, Alex Capraro, Crackhead Barney, Sol Cabrini, Kat Sotelo

JACK
November 6th-8th 2025
This piece shared a small portion at ?!:New Works when I was at The Brick and it was clear that these brilliant artists would continue to develop Sweet Blood! I am so thrilled that this will present at JACK and that this creative team came together. I am sending out a lot of wishes into the universe, but I wish very hard that I will be able to experience this project in the future, but for those who have the opportunity now, please go!

Brick Aux
October 30th-November 15th 2025
If you have not gotten a chance to check this project out, either last year when they first presented it or since it opened October 30th, now is your chance! I will be there for the closing matinee and I am so happy that I can share time and space with these people. Join us!

The Wasp : Morgan Lloyd Malcolm, Rory McGregor, Colby Minifie, Amy Forsyth
16 Beaver Street
November 6th-15th 2025
Colby Minifie hive, rise! And that hive is literal, babes: this is THE WASP. Maybe there will be some MIke's Hot Honey (dark bee energy) or some Connecticut yuppy shit (white anglo saxon protestant) but more likely an awesome performance from Minifie, whom I cherished in "Six Degrees of Separation" and "Long Day's Journey into Night", both on Broadway (scene-stealing queen). More niche-ly, I think of her in Selected Shorts uptown where she read "Edna in Rain," which is a favorite short story thanks to her interpretation.
Staffer: Billy McEntee
One Man Ferryman : Robert Malbrough, Kelly Lamanna, Juan Perez, Cody Lovell, Allyson Dwyer, No Exit Theatre Collective
Brick Aux
Sunday November 16th 2025
Bobby’s been telling me about this thing for years, and it’s finally being birthed from the leprechaun womb it was meant to emerge from. An artistic triumph - refusing to engage in a 3 ½ hr long play about [I can’t say lest he reads this] and making a 3 ½ hr long performance work about it. Fuck me up, Brian D’Arcy James. (Soda bread included.)
Staffer: Reuven Glezer
????????? No clue what’s going on here but it’s Bobby so I am there
Staffer: Leah Plante-Wiener
Putting my official “wish into the universe” for this one to come back!

My Town : Jack Ferver
Skirball
November 21st-22nd 2025
What (un)holy goodness does Jack Ferver have in store for us now? A riff on "Our Town" (~sacred American text~), and a queer exegesis of the dancer's own rural upbringing (also, ~sacred American text~). I'll be sat, but hopefully I'll levitate.
Staffer: Billy McEntee
MOMENTA #017 : Reagan Holiday, Bunny, Angie Veys x HZRD, Dorchel Haqq
Grace Exhibition Space
Saturday November 8th 2025
Performance art and dance at a venue I’m growing very fond of! MOMENTA also happens only a few times a year, so not to miss.
Staffer: Leah Plante-Wiener
Molly Raben with Alina Jacobs and Blake Robbins : Molly Raben, Alina Jacobs, Blake Robbins
Molasses Bookstore
Wednesday November 5th 2025
***Editor’s note - this already happened! But I wanted to include it so that you follow these artists, check out this bookstore and know that cool things are happening every single night in NY.***
If you’ve never heard an organ played in a bookstore, organist Molly Raben’s got the event for you! Also included in the evening is a performance by Alina Jacobs and Blake Robbins, whose last theatrical collaboration, the entrancingly strange and inventive NEW LIFE HAMLET CONSTRUCTION, is one of my favourite plays seen this year.
Staffer: Leah Plante-Wiener
Far Away : Caryl Churchill, Sam Gibbs, Rebecca Tyree Gibbs, Joel Watson, Avalina Ortiz, Maude Mitchell, Stairwell Theater
Box of Moonlight
November 6th-23rd 2025
Ooooh an epic undertaking in an exciting space where lots of cool art is happening! Need I say more? I feel like this is for everyone who likes “plays proper” and everyone who likes “the weird shit”. So, come together and get far away.
